Overview: Matthew D. Valdes, Esquire was born in Midland, TX in 1965 and admitted to the Florida Bar in 1994.
Education: State University (B.S., in Economics and Criminology, 1991.) Stetson University College of Law (Juris Doctorate, 1993.)
Experience: Mr. Valdes began his career litigating personal injury, workers’ compensation and social security claims for consumers. Since that time, Mr. Valdes has gained extensive experience in injury litigation having represented both consumers and insurance companies in an array of actions including automobile accidents, premises liability, product liability, professional malpractice, workers’ compensation and general negligence. Mr. Valdes has handled injury claims involving paraplegia, spinal and musculoskeletal injuries, amputation, joint replacement, MRSA, Complex Regional Pain Syndrome/Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy, fractures, disc degeneration and herniation, stenosis, depression, TMJ, and cubital and carpal tunnel syndrome. Mr. Valdes has appellate experience including successful appeals to the Florida District Courts of Appeal and Supreme Court of Florida. Mr. Valdes is an Associate Attorney with Kaufman, Englett & Lynd, PLLC where he continues to practice litigation and appellate work.
