Experience: Prior to attending law school, Ms. Patel worked in the insurance industry. During her matriculation at Barry University School of Law, Ms. Patel served on the Barry Law Review editorial board as a Note and Comment Editor. She also served as secretary for the Asian American Student Law Association and helped start the Barry Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Committee as the publicity chair. Ms. Patel began her professional career at an Orlando firm, focusing her attentions on defending homeowners against mortgage foreclosure, advising condominium associations on proper administration, and assisting clients with estate planning. Ms. Patel is currently an associate at Kaufman, Englett and Lynd, PLLC, where she practices in the areas of bankruptcy, debt settlement and general litigation.
